Article Retracton and Withdrawal
Jurnal Inovasi Daerah upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. To ensure the accuracy, reliability, and credibility of the scholarly record, the journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines regarding article retraction and withdrawal.
-
Retraction
Retraction may be initiated by the author(s), editor(s), or publisher when a published article is found to contain serious issues such as:-
Evidence of unreliable findings due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation, experimental error).
-
Redundant publication (duplicate submission or publication in another journal without proper acknowledgment).
-
Unethical research practices (e.g., violation of human/animal research ethics).
-
Legal infringements such as copyright violation.
Retracted articles will remain available online but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” on each page. A formal retraction notice will be published in the next issue, explaining the reason(s) for the retraction.
-
-
Withdrawal
Manuscript withdrawal is only permitted for valid reasons and must be formally requested by the corresponding author in writing, stating the justification. Withdrawal is allowed in the following cases:-
The manuscript is found to have been submitted elsewhere simultaneously.
-
The manuscript contains fundamental errors identified by the author(s) after submission.
Authors who withdraw a manuscript without proper justification or after it has entered the peer-review or production process may be subject to sanctions, including temporary suspension of future submissions.
-
-
Corrections and Errata
If minor errors are detected in a published article that do not affect the overall results or conclusions, the journal will publish a correction or erratum instead of retracting the article. -
Editorial Responsibility
All decisions regarding retraction, withdrawal, or correction are made by the editorial board, in consultation with the publisher, and in line with COPE guidelines.
